Fixed fee

A fixed fee is typically the best option for the client, as it assures the lawyer that the case will be solved for the stipulated amount. This means you will pay the decided amount before or after the lawyer does the job, and it will not change depending on how long the solicitor takes to solve your case. Therefore, lawyers are incentivised to solve it as soon as possible to move on to the next client.

Hourly rate

Lawyers may charge a price per hour, depending on the type of service you are looking for. When hiring them on an hourly rate basis, lawyers should try to give you a full estimate before you agree to instruct them so you understand the total cost. However, hourly fee rates depend on the experience of the lawyer:
