2. Gather required documents (ID, residency proof, English test results, etc.)
3. Complete Form AN online
4. Book and attend a biometrics appointment
5. Submit application and pay fees
6. Attend a citizenship ceremony upon approval

2. Required Documents

• Passport or biometric residence permit
• Residency proof (utility bills, bank statements)
• English test & Life in the UK test results

3. Referees

You need two referees:

• One must be a professional (doctor, teacher, etc.)
• The other must be a British citizen over 25

Referees cannot be relatives, legal representatives, or Home Office employees

4. Fees

• Adults: £1,630 (includes £130 ceremony fee)
• Children: £1,214
• Biometric enrolment fee: £19.20

5. Processing Time

Standard processing takes up to six months, but delays can happen if documents are missing or

incorrect.
