Worthingtons, along with every other legal frim in NI, refused to help me with a whistleblowing case I took to the NI Employment Tribunal. Against a NI health Trust. I am sure if I had been given the privilege of having them accept me as their client, they would have done a great job. They rejected my business without explanation. Maybe NI should start asking itself why esteemed legal firms such as this won't take on the "little man" or the brave, truth- telling person who wants to challenge the system. Could it be because the system is made up of the crème de la crème of NI, and there is a subtle but not so subtle process of action/inaction which protects that system by refusing to help me/my peers challenge certain horrendous behaviours within the state? Aren't legal firms by their choices to *not* help people like me, enabling all kinds of horrors. Of note I also asked them to help me take legal action against the Employment Tribunal itself, for the way in which it has violated, 1000s of times, the rights of disabled self representing litigants, as per the NI disability discrimination act. A strong case, which had dozens of people willing to take a class action, based on empirical evidence and two reports, one academic and one from an ex employment judge. And guess what? they said no. And not long after, one of their staff became the now president of the ET. So make from that what you will. (How much do they care about injustice, if they don't help those suffering from the injustice?) Isn't that selective justice, based on personal / business interests? This firm is no doubt prestigious and wonderful for the folk it chooses to help, and for those who have worthingtons slam a door in their faces? It's tough luck. There are questions to be asked, but I am sure we will never get the answers. I openly ask about huge conflicts of interest and a bias against helping a % of the population with goals which don't match those of this firm. And why did Louise Mc Aloon, head of their employment law team , randomly follow me on X last night, 2 weeks after my tribunal case ended, and ignore questions I asked her? The murky world of NI power structures. For those who suffer at the hands of poor state care, take a look at who this firm won't help and you'll ask yourself what are their priorities ? (££££££££)?
Kerry McDonald at Worthingtons Solicitors worked tirelessly on a long drawn ongoing employment case involving a heap of paperwork, on Kerry's advice, we took use of the newly brought judicial mediation process in Northern Ireland before going to the tribunal and reached a better than expected outcome for both parties. We highly recommend Kerry and Worthintons for employment law cases. Thank you once again Kerry!
I recently had an employment matter that I required assistance with. My solicitor Tiernan Oliver went above and beyond my expectations. In addition to giving advice and guidance he provided a kind listening ear, and I will be forever grateful for his support and reassurance during a very difficult period in my life. We had a fantastic result and in the process Tiernan helped me gain back some of my confidence and self belief. I would highly recommend Tiernan to anyone needing legal assistance in this area.
Very helpful and quick to get back to me about some routine employment documents
