Reviews
I called ahead to ask if they witness signatures for statutory declaration change of name forms (a service whereby an external solicitor witnesses you signing your new name, takes 5min and is usually chargeable by £5-£10) they said yes and gave me a time to come. I went to their office at the agreed time and was treated horribly. The solicitor looked at the form threw it back to me then said he'd charge me £33, then he shouted saying he would charge me £120 because he could reprint the form himself and sign it, he then turned back to his desk and continued working whilst I was still sat there in his office… He did not explain what he meant until I had to ask him several times to explain, he shouted on and on about how he won’t sign anything and the solicitor who made the form and myself do not know anything, throwing his hands about and talking aggressively despite me siting there politely having simply come to attend the appointment that was agreed upon earlier. I was so shocked when I left, never have I experienced this. I then went to 2 different firms, who knew exactly what I needed, and they did it within 5min and charged £10, easy, and simple. Avoid this place. The good reviews are deceptive.
I visited Victory Solicitors to have an affidavit signed. I was seen by Emmanuel who was quite knowledgeable and pleasant. As the fees quoted are reasonable I'm going to now use the firm to resolve a long standing issue with my employer. Fingers crossed!
Mr Emmanuel is a consummate professional when he deals with legal matters. In fact I have used him for two separate issues in regards to my personal and professional affairs. He gives you 110 percent of his knowledge and expertise in housing, or employment law. I tried a couple of solicitors in that area near his office and they were not friendly or accommodating but just looking at a way to bill you even with a free consultation. When Mr Emmanuel offers a free consultation it is free not cloaked with hidden costs. His company fees are also affordable and in line with the other firms in that area, but the difference is clear he cares and is looking to help you find a solution within the legal system. He does not start off with quoting charges of different services offered nor make promises of whether a case can be won if it is weak. If it is weak he will tell you ,so you don't waste your money. This is the experience I have had with him and I will be recommending him to close family and friends. If you have an employment or housing issue I urge you to try this legal service because you won't be disappointed. A good lawyer is worth their weight in gold and he is one of the few solicitors I have tried (I have tried quite a few in that area!) who is honest and passionate about his work.
I called them about inquiry .and the way they respond to me was so unprofessional. Thank good he doesn't deal with the matter i did need. Horrible
I was represented by Mr. Simon Fonkwo. Although it was a tough case going back and forth between the high court and the immigration Asylum Court in Feltham. The case went on for five years and each time we attended a hearing Mr. Fonkwo will take time and build a detailed chronology. There was a moment when the barrister asked me to tell Mr. Fonkwo that his job is very outstanding. In the end, I was granted ILR.
